The Word of God - inspired by Ivy Rose's poem, "The Dance" ' Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" ' NIV Matthew 4:4 I am the dance that feels the wind in breeze I am the dance that hears the birds in trees. I am the dance that rises smoke to roam I am the dance that savors honeycomb I am the dance that soaks in skies of blue I am the dance that sees all starlight, too I am the dance that hears all bells all rings. I am the dance that breathes all living things I am the dance that smells all food you cook I am the dance of God; I am The Living Book. The Word of God. Silver Streak, Your word has placed a seed in my spirit to set my feet free for it's been a while since I've worshiped the Lord in the dance. For He is the Lord of the dance and he is wothy of all praise. Amen. ...and I thank you for that word. -Bob |

Yes, Bob. David was always dancing in The Spirit to God. I believe that dance originally began as a way to praise the Lord. That music, dance and poetry all originated as ways to receive and pass on God's Word in ways that spoken and written language fell short of. God's Word goes far beyond the written Word. And when one dances in God's Spirit one always expands understanding of The Holy Word by using senses beyond sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. I call it the seventh sense, God sense. So dance, brother, dance! ![]() ((Bob)) -newell Sharing God's Love through perfectlovepoetry.com Copyright: 2002 Newell Elsworth Usher [This message has been edited by Silver Streak (03-17-2002 05:33 PM).] |

Newell...I'm glad I have a chance to tell you that I thought your poem about dancing before the Lord was inspired and beautiful. Thanks for being in tune with the Spirit. ***Ivy Rose |

Ivy, being in tune with The Spirit of God is the only way to receive the Full Word of God. And dancing in The Spirit is wonderful. David, The earthly Father of Christ was well known for his dancing in The Spirit when he was King. Thank you for Dancing in The Spirit inspiring me. ![]() ((Ivy)) -newell Sharing God's Love through perfectlovepoetry.com Copyright: 2002 Newell Elsworth Usher [This message has been edited by Silver Streak (03-18-2002 10:49 PM).] |
