( I am sorry I have gotten behind in my reading of your beautiful postings. I will try to catch up and answer them all. I have been dealing with a sorrow in the family.)Joyce Would you have slaked the thirst of Jesus Had you met Him at the well? Would you have listened to His story And have run back home to tell? The woman from Samaria Had the courage to believe, And though she wasn't perfect Wanted others to receive The good news of the Messiah And the blessings that He brought. She was glad to be a witness Of the lessons that He taught. Do you think you are unworthy For the loving Christ to use? Just like the woman from Samaria You could be the one He'd choose, To go and tell the Easter story How He died that man might live. If you believe in blessed Easter All your sins He will forgive. Everytime I read this story, GOD's Love amazes me that he needed to go through Sameria to tell His story to an adulterous woman. It reminds me how very far He had to go to reach me......... Joyce, this is a wonderful message, you bring. I believe that Christ did in Scripture say that it is often difficult for men of wealth and stature (like Pharisees) to receive and understand His message, while Scripture shows that women and children more easily accept truths at face value when they hear Christ's simple message. I believe that honest sincere women have been given a special intuitive sense of wisdom by God, which men lack. Men acquire a lot of knowledge but struggle with how to use it. And of course anyone who puts material things first will always be blinded to simple truths. Wonderful job, Joyce, as always.
