WHEN ANGELS WEPT

As the rain pours from the skies today
When the world is seen in shades of gray
My mind drifts back to another day
When the greatest debt in the world was paid

When heaven wept and angels cried
When the King of Kings was crucified
When the temple veil was torn in two
When access to God came to me and you

How sad our Creator must have been
To place on His son the world’s sin
But a loving God willing to sacrifice
His precious son to save my life

So even as the rain pours down
There’s no reason for me to frown
For even though the Savior died
Three days later death He defied!

The grave could not hold the Son of Light
Darkness fled like a thief in the night
Gray skies once again became bright
Angels tears dried as they beheld the sight
The Gloried Lamb, Holy, Just and Right

Cheryl,

Oh, What a glorious Victory have we in Christ!!!  My friend, I do believe that we both have been wonderfully touched as of late with the Easter Spirit.  Amen.  And Thank You for sharing the resurrection story of our Lord and Savior with us once more.  -Bob

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet frind, this poem gave me tears just envisioning our dear Lord rising from the ground and again offering His love to all, which continues to sparkle in all our hearts! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is an outstanding vision of faith and love! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Cheryl, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

A warm thanks to you Bob, Betty Lou and Noah. It's pouring here today, over an 1-1/2 inches already so this fits perfectly. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. His glory can light the gloomiest day. Thanks, Cheryl

Cheryl, dear, a most lovely poem of His sacrifice for all His children and we are so blessed...

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Floria, Thanks much for checking it out. I imagine all of heaven mourned that day but it was short-lived grief. Can you imagine the rejoicing on resurrection day?  Cheryl
