I Would Tell Him

~*Marge Tindal*~

Were He to ask, I would say
Yes, Lord, I have loved this day
Sunrise drenched upon the lawn
called to me at early dawn~

Cardinals on the windowsill
sang to me melodic trill
Breeze through trees caressed my face
bringing peaceful loving grace~

Smile from a friend
in sweet attend
Leaves lasting glow
to warm me so~

Children's laughter in the wake
of frolicking fun out on the lake
Bubbles back to me in song
Oh, I pray this day is long~

And as I, in earnest atone
gather others to your Throne
I will pray on bended knee
giving thanks, My Lord, to thee~

*Inspired by title from LadyHawke*

Thank you~

Marge, this is beautiful. And, of course, He doesn't need to ask. He always knows the joy in our hearts. He put it there!

Marge,
You wouldn't have to tell HIM, He knows, but He inhabits the praise of his children. I'm glad you told us. Beautiful, comtemplative poem of praise. Peace unto you,
Dennis

Marge,

Sometimes we need a nudge to cast our eyes back where our strength and peace comes from, thanks for the gentle push.  Sometimes we read a poem and it brings an avalanche of thoughts....this one did

Marge,

This is a delightful "Love Poem" and presentation that kind of reminds me of "How do I love thee, let me count the ways ..." but to our Lord.  Again so beautiful how He loves us in so many many expressed and exceptional ways.  GOD bless you and thanks again for sharing your talent here with us.
