Ghazal Before all time, the void and dark made night Until a spark became a light in night. God made the stars and all the planets right And hung them up for everybody's night. God made a man of clay to walk upright And girl from rib of man to love at night. God made the feet to walk, the mouth to talk He made the work for day, the sleep for night Man chose to please himself, build selfish might As God looked on with tears at sick man's night God offers love to all who choose the right Forgave all men for sin to leave the night. And now God calls his sheep into his sight And poet Newell will pen the day and night.
