I realize my imperfection,
Was brought on me by sin's selection,
And thus from God it meant defection,
Unhid from Him and His detection.

But for my sins I could not repay,
Thus bringing me low, with much dismay,
In sin's darkness I longed for the Day,
To be returned into Life's True Way!

God in Grace a Savior did provide,
He, Who for my sins, suffered and died,
Who rose again, called me to His side,
Where in Love and Grace, I could abide.

Thank You, Father, for saving my soul,
Thank You, Jesus, for making me whole
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for letting me know,
Praise be to God, I seek to e'er show!

WOW! David! I can hear the heavenly organ music playing in the background! This poem should be a hymn sung in every choir! You are also growing wonderfully in your poetry, the rhyme and flow of this inspiring poem is perfection. The message of His sacrifice and  His promise of salvation and our new birth of the soul is said incredibly well! Hugs, my dear friend, Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

David, you've done a beautiful job of expressing thankfulness for His grace and mercy. I love the fact you included all three persons of the Trinity in your poem. Lovely. Cheryl

David,

From a technical standpoint, it is apparent that you spent some extra time here on tightening up your poem both in counting syllables and in use of meter.  I liked the comma pauses throughout your poem. Your words also rhyme nicely.  You have a wonderful knack for finding words to rhyme that most poets would have never thought of.  I think your poem characterizes to me the life of anyone who has experienced the "saving grace" of GOD very well.  (Testimonial Living)  Nice title.  GOD bless you.
