Smile He Died

On this day we look at ourselves
And wonder where we've come
We put our childhood on a shelf
But do we love the One?

The past is with us and always will be
Have we really changed?
Are we even ready to see
What's on that precious range?

The range we know is soon to come
We hope to all be there
To see the precious Holy One
The One who really cares

So don't let the past hold you down
He's the only one we need
You see my friend, we shouldn't frown
He died for you and me

Cpalmer, your words are so true and many times, after we've been forgiven by God, we have a hard time forgiving ourselves. Enjoyed your poem. Cheryl
