My world seems filled with darkness My eyes can hardly see I awaken every morning Wondering what is wrong with me? I used to be so happy So confident and carefree Now there seems to be a storm cloud Hanging over me. I have been the one to go to With shoulders strong and broad And now that I am hurting I feel like such a fraud. This weakness that is haunting me I tried so hard to hide While showing strength to others Inside I've cried and cried. I've grown so sad and weary I'd just like to stop and rest I wonder if I have the strength To withstand one more test? It seems I've always struggled To find a place of peace But my private, inner battles Never seem to cease. The face that I show others Is not the one I see When I look into the mirror Do they really think that's me? I know that in these darkest days Of fear and deep dispair That God, the Father of us all Will hear my desperate prayer. I need Him now and always To feel His strength and love To have His calm assurance Surround me from Above. He's given me some Angels To help me with my fight I now no longer journey Alone through this dark night. Linda Tiuch |

I know that in these darkest days Of fear and deep dispair That God, the Father of us all Will hear my desperate prayer. Thank God we are not alone..and he does answer prayer. This is an honest expression of your need..we all have our dark hours..and he is always there for us. |

Your feelings are well expressed in this poem. Inner storms are the worst storms. Best to find a sunny spot and gaze at the bright side of things, outward, not inward, on these occasions at His creations manifest. joe Lamando |

This touches deep my heart, because I can relate to the ache and tears in this. Sometimes you just need to sit down and have a good cry. When it seems we never have the shoulder to cry on, remember God is one of the best listeners there is!  He never gives more than we can handle, and always leaves a way out. Though sometimes it seems like one more little piece will just break us. Maybe that is the idea, because we can't handle it all, we have to leave it to God, for He can handle it all better than we can. God bless you, I hope things will look brighter for you. It will pass.  |

Thank you for the kind thoughts. I have had a "good" cry and a friend's shoulders did feel my tears...there is always hope and I do know that with God we are never alone and that all things are posssibe. |

I so weep with you, for those inner battles are the worst of all. I have a dear mentor who said to me once.."just give up the battles once and for all" and i finally got "sick and tired of being "sick and tired"...turned to Him for help and now it has been many years since and the battles have been replaced by His Peace beyond all understanding! Love and hugs, Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |
