A Pilgrim's Prayer

Lord, make my voice the kind that speaks
To people's hearts, so each one seeks
To learn more of your earthly days
And add more knowledge of your ways.
Please let my eyes see deep within,
Beyond the surface and all sin,
Thus penetrating each disguise,
To where the core of goodness lies.

Let me have the kind of ear,
That listens carefully to hear
The hidden searchings of each soul,
Adrift and fearful of a shoal
And let my heart be filled with love,
So often renewed from above,
I always have enough to share,
With those who are in need of care.

We all are pilgrims on the road
Towards Heaven and sometimes the load
Quite often needs a helping hand.
Someone to care and understand.
So may I be a link to You,
In everything I say and do
And everyone I meet can see
The lasting love I have for Thee!

Betty, this is just beautiful!  You minister to many through your lovely poetry, leaving no doubt of your love for our Lord.  Your uplifting spirit soothes and encourages aching hearts.  Your joy in His saving grace flows, filling voids space.  Thank you.

Moonbeams2:  Don't worry about goofing up as everyone here is very helpful and understanding. At the very top of the pages you'll find a "Members Help Area" where you can ask questions. someone or several someones will have answers.  Good luck and do post your work in one of the forums.
