Guess who I am. I'm a painter who likes to paint the beauty of the world, a poet who comforts the sick, a singer who sings for the joy, an artist who makes funny faces. Guess who I am. I'm everyone of you, Who inside is warm and human, Who doesn't let the world corrupt you, Whose heart is pure and sweet. Guess who I am. I'm your friend, I'm your family. I'm your support, your wings. I'm your hope when you down. (Now, do you know, who I am?) I'm love, I'm light, I'm part of your heart, which brings out the good of you. Look in the mirror and you'll see, who I am. //when I write this poem I mean the answer is a friend of you, a family member of you and you yourself also. But I think I didn't make it clear. I did say everyone is that person though. To contractic my own opinion, I believe we are born with sins but each has some goodness within herself. But I've said a person often have double standard. LOL. I hope you enjoy this one. Tell me what you think. Lizzy http://poets2000.com/lizzyvivian/ ~The first two cup of tea is to throw away; what remains is the best of all. |

This is so lovely and well thought out. I think we are all much more alike than we are different and I celebrate that sameness. Thank you. Joyce |

A sweet and thoughtful poem and your meaning is very clear. We all share many of the good qualities you mention. Betty Lou Hebert |

When I read your poem, I thought that you were writing about someone greater or bettter than I am. God, Jesus, a Saint or someone... So, when I read at the end it was me I was a bit surprised. But, looking at me from someone elses perspective I suppose that I can be more than how I see myself. Don't feel bad though, I have always evaluated myself the hardest and I do appreciate your kind compliment. -Bob |
