Wash my body in the first cup;
Prepare me in the second cup;
Smell my scent in the third cup;
What remains is little yet dark.

Even a cup of tea.  Poets are wonderful, they find the Lord in anything.  Very nice.  Joyce

Thanks Joyce! You know what? At first I mean to say the first two cup of tea are to throw away, what remain is the best as to compare to life. On the second reading I find this:

Wash my body as in clean my month and body b4 the lord;
Prepare me as in let's the lord prepare me for his coming;
Smell the scent as in my offering;
Little yet dark...dark as in my love.

Drinking tea is a very influential and ritual practice in most cultures... I do prefer to think of drinking tea as a time of calm gathering, enlightenment, and communication between friends.  And from this perspective, thank you for sharing your tea with me...  -Bob

Lizzie Vivian:  An unusual concept in your poem, but intriguing too!  I always enjoy what you have to say!
