From a sermon titled (Check Our Spiritual Vision)

Spiritual View

What colors your vision?
From where is your focus?
Painted or tainted,
from where does
its sharpness come?

Is the mountain
a blockade
or a challenge?
Do rivers bar
or carry you nigh?

Does salt sting
causing pain that smarts
or heal your wounds
from the depth
where it starts?

How might your vision
stay clear,
steadfast and true?
Might the Author of Light
be a lighthouse
for you?

©November 4, 2001

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Lighthouses have always brought God to mind. I like the poem.

Thought provoking. It's all in how you look at things. Might the Author of Light
be a lighthouse for you?
