awakend by the chilling scream
my mind still replaying this dream
I look to my hands they are shaded red
a nail on the floor and my savior dead
crucified again by my sinful desire
slain an offering meant for fire
I lie there with the hammer in my hand
sin it's name how it got there I don't understand
I throw it but it sticks like glue
I fall to my knees and once again I curse You
though it's not you who does this
it is I who pleged the kiss
it is I who yelled crucify
It is I who stood and watched you die.

Sorrow consumes me like a fire from hell
my body went limp the moment your head fell
they pierce your side the blood and water flow
and it is only now that I truely know
that this surely is the son of God
and in that moment I feel like a facade
they lower your limp body to the ground
and in that moment I'm no longer bound
the hammer falls and shatters on the floor
and I see you standing at the tombs door
Staggering I ask you why, why you've done this
I said I've betrayed you with a kiss
and you simply say I know what you did
but I could have it no other way
for you will see paradise this day.

we fall like the stars then rise like the sun..Repentence.Forgiveness.We are blame worthy hold us to our wrongs..but don't hold our wrongs against us

Yes, I too, stand guilty of crucifying Him.  His grace, in total forgiveness, is overwhelming and ever so humbling.  How extremely blessed we are.  Nice poem.  Thanks,

The entire poem is wonderful, but there's a particular part that stuck with me.

quote:

sin it's name how it got there I don't understand
I throw it but it sticks like glue

How we can try to ignore it, throw it away, blame it on someone else, but it never
goes away without the forgiveness of Christ.

I think we've all been guilty of this at one time or another.  Great write.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

This was very good. Alot different from the ones you post in Teen. Excellent poem.
