Autumn Prayers

October ebbs away and I
Send autumn prayers into the sky.
Prayers the harvest season yield
A bumper crop from every field.
That the winter will be mild
And there won't be a man or child
Who doesn't have a place to go
When the world is white with snow.
Some prayers for friends and family.
Those who mean the most to me.
Prayers for peace and most of all,
That God will bless us, large and small!

Lovely, lovely prayer...

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

very heartfelt sentiment here...and we should all pray that everyone has a "place to go" during the cold winter...thanks for putting a different spin on the forecoming season...

Lets Love one another and let God do the worrying,
Rodney

Lovely, thoughtful prayer for all.  I especially pray for the Afgan refugies in tents with cold setting in and little food.  May they be spared to come to know the love of God.  Thank you, Betty.

Betty; This is such a nice prayer.  We are in the harvest here in this part of the country as well.  We pray too for the harvest, and the safety of those working the harvest.  Thank you for posting this.  I enjoyed reading it.  Wanda

Thank you Rodney.  It's always painful to see people wandering the streets, when it's cold and snowy.  Even more so than in nice weather, but it's never a happy sight.

Rae:  Thank you for your kind remarks.  I too pray for the Afghan refugees, as I am sure millions of people are right now.

Something we should all keep in mind, especially with Thanksgiving coming up. Well done, Betty. These thoughts will now be in my heart as well as yours.

God bless America, my home sweet home.

Thanks Elizabeth.  Everyone seems to make a big effort to feed the hungry at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it's the rest of the year that concerns me.  I know there are churchs that take turns feeding the
homeless, but there aren't enough of them!
