Leave Behind a Prayer do not call me back for I must go, you must stay it is not your time the ages I’ve seen are stories given to you share them from your heart leave the soul to fly wellness springs awaiting me leave me smile again when it is your time I shall greet you at the gate you will know me then let me go with peace in prayer warm hands take yours let Him comfort you |

Sunshine...that is too scary, you and I are approching it from different angles, but sounds like we are planning a "good-bye" that is if I interpreted it correct...if not, beautiful sentiment anyways...lol... Lets Love one another and let God do the worrying, |

I like this one, Sunshine. It is sad in a way, but leaving behind a prayer somehow makes me feel hope. Nicely done. All writing comes |

Yes dear Sunshine, we never know the time, so our last words each day should be a prayer. Thank you, Joyce |

Sunshine; For those of us who know Him, leaving this earth means going to a better place. We recognize there will be grieving, but God is a God of comfort, and He will meet the need. Our prayers should be for those who remain. I felt this poem was very well written, and speaks much of what is on my heart. Wanda |

I love this, sad but so comforting...I sense a love happening in the wrong time but hope that in the future, it may be a reality! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Interesting responses, thank you. I saw this poem two ways. One, being of any age, young, or middle, having fought the good fight with a fatal illness...how those people see much more..."the ages" that they will never know. The other, of course, of a very good person who has lived a wonderful life...or even not so wonderful a life, but has faced it with courage and fortitude, it is those that we feel we could not get on without... and this would then be their words, to us, a bit of wisdom in a time where all we might feel is emptiness in their leaving... we have to remember that they will indeed be whole again...and we would not want to wish otherwise... thank you all for your lovely comments... |

This is a wonderful poem of promise. After reading your short commentary, you have portrayed the subject who is leaving and giving hope to those left behind very well. -Bob |

Very thought provoking and powerful. The hope of Heaven makes death a deliverance. We are delivered from death, but we are also delivered through death of the body. Enjoyed this one. Stephen. |
