Lay Me Down

Lay me down on feathered pillows overlaid in silken white.
Lay me down in the valley where there never comes a night.
Lay me down where angel's praying Holy Holy is the Lamb.
Lay me down and rise me up from the sinner that I am.

Rise me up from pins and needles upon an angel's wings.
Rise me up in the morning where the hallowed gospel sings.
Rise me up unto forever from the sin by which I'm damned.
Rise me up to be forgiven from the sinner that I am.

Lay me down and rise me up from the sinner that I am.
