Quiet Moments It's 5:30 in the morning and everyone is asleep, I pour my cup of coffee for quiet moments do I seek. ~*~ It's a time to wonder about the brand new day, a time for soft words to God, as I sit and pray. ~*~ A time to reflect in events of the past a coming to terms with emotions at last of seeking advice and strength for the way, to help someone out there who needs me today. ~*~ I look out my window at the breaking of dawn and wonder in amazement at the squirels on my lawn. I wish them a good morning, and hand them a treat a small little peanut for each of them to eat. ~*~ As these quiet moments come to an end I'm thankful to God for the time that I spend in peace and serenity, I have found my place, a time for such moments will show on my face. ~*~ A smile for all that will come my way and love and hugs to help make their day. ~sunshinemist~ (c)2001 Marie C. smiles ~Marie~ |

I really enjoyed your poem. I get up at 5:00 a.m. every day to give my son medicine and spend about half an hour just communing, so to speak, with God and my surroundings. So, this is very familiar to me. Nice write. Betty Lou Hebert |
