Dear Paul

You have not
written
in such a long time

I am hoping
it is because
you are busy
spreading
the Good News
to Rome

I have not heard
from Peter either
Have you?

Now that we have gone
seperate ways
I find myself lonely
for his company

Isn't that always the way
friendships in this world
are most often appreciated
only in hindsight

I am relieved
you never mentioned
my complaining
to the others
I have matured since then

Surely God can use
my momentary lapse
in faithfulness
to show that one can believe
and still have doubts

It's what one does
with the doubts he has
that makes the difference
