What Can I Give

What can I give to God who gives
So many gifts to me?
There must be some way in the world
To thank Him properly.
But since the earth belongs to Him
And everything therein,
The only presents I can give
Must come from deep within.
A loving heart, a faith that grows
With every passing day.
A belief that carries me along
And conquers, come what may.
My gratitude, eternally,
For blessings by the score.
These are the things He really wants.
They're His for evermore.
A life that's lived with Him in mind.
Each day I'll keep Him near.
The more I dwell on Him, I find,
The less I have to fear!

Dear Betty; I so love the depth of your faith. Surely the only way to rid our hearts of fear is surrender to His Love! This is glorious. Love, Ellie

Reminds me that every good and perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights....

Amen! He says if we draw near to him, he will draw near to us.
Great poem!

Betty, again you've shared a beautifully flowing piece...the simplicity of returned love is all we can possibly offer, yet considered the greatest gift by our heavenly Father.  Thank you.

Betty; Truly this is what the Lord desires of each of His children.  "What can I give the Lord, what is my part; I know I will give Him my whole heart."  Blessings to you. Wanda
