"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison to them that are bound" Isaiah 61:1 The Lord put me on this earth For my life to have great worth He sent me from heaven above Filled with His mercy and love My purpose is to invoke peace So that your pain shall cease For conflict is not my style My efforts will be worthwhile I bow to Him in sacred prayer Seeking solace for your despair Asking for the wounds to be healed In the process our bond has been sealed He is the light of our salvation Sharing His word with all the nations We shall be filled with the Holy Ghost So that all evil can be disposed No more need to harbor fear For the Lord is always near He led us to this common place By the path of redeeming grace We were meant to become friends It shall remain until the end I am yours and you are mine Through our bond His light will shine All writing comes by the grace of God. -Ralph Waldo Emerson [This message has been edited by Lone Wolf (edited 07-02-2001).] |
