Summer thunderstorm
lightening flashing up above
torrential rains fall
Your Passion fills the night air
and inflames our hearts!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

VAS:  The Heavens do truly declare "the glory of God".  Never more apparent than in a thunder storm, such as you have written.
Very nicely done!

I like the approach you have made to this great subject--comparing the Intensity and Power of the Father's Love, as displayed in the Intensity & Power of a raging storm.  Surely God is serious, and means business in His Love toward us-and the Power of that can dramatically change and alter our lives.
Thanks for this wonderful reminder, from your unique perspective.

ellie,

It's marvelous beyond words how God who controls all nature can make Himself fit into the confines of our heart....  the magnitude of this.  Wow.

Like your poem, t-storms can be so short, yet so powerful.  Living in Kansas the last couple years, I realized how God use's storms (especially tornados!).  People often think tornado's rip things apart, on the contrary they bring community's closer together.  Plus you can really stand in awe of God's power during any storm!
