FALL With life comes a mass of chains quite big Much heavier than a single twig All of the chains are a heavy haul If one slips, one may fall So with these chains Comes a thing, not at all a fraud The thing that comes is faith in God If you allow yourself to see his light The chains won't grip onto you so tight Slowly, that heavy load Will fall off sometime down the road But if one falls along the way A failure; some may say And again the chains will grow But when faith in God is strong He will surely know That the ones who doubted him Were wrong *ACK! "..that heavy load will fall off somewhere (d)own the road" I'm sure it's a typo with the 'd' missing. This reminds me that God won't spare us trials, but will see us through them. Thank you for putting it in imagery we can relate to. Rae |

Cowboy at Heart, A good poem with a great message... to me your poem emphasizes the need for friends to help us with those heavy loads or to help break those chains that drag us down... We all have chains my friend, but Jesus holds all the keys... I believe expression is one good way to loose some of those burdens. Keep on writing the good word and God bless You, Bob <>< |
