The Devil's Path

I've had inclination to travel the wide path,
but only for a while in light of Death's aftermath.
The road to destruction is quite wide I'm assured,
so I must be on guard of never being lured.

I'm sorely tempted by counterfeit excitement,
but I know that God's path holds eternal delightment.
I do hope I'm void from some transitory fad
that stirs my senses to submit to something bad.

No, the devil's path is quite not the road for me,
I pray much more than what's offered temporarily.
