Hello. I'm new to this side of pip. I posted here once before, but most of my stuff is posted in Teens. This is a poem/song that I just got done writing, and am thinking about putting to music. Anywho, let me know what you all think, and I'm glad to be posting here.  SONGS OF PRAISE Chorus: The greatness of our Lord Deserves for us to sing a chord For the Lord is here for all our days And so we give our songs of praise Lord, when you're drivin' me from evil You give Satan a big upheaval You keep me on the right road And I have reaped what I have sowed Lord, I l'm livin' life to serve You You're the one I always knew You gave your life for me You've shown me all that I can be Chorus Lord, when you're givin' me direction You give my life some correction You get me far from Satan's way And you always brighten up my day Lord, I know there's tough times in life I'll suffer pain and strife But you'll always be there You've shown me how much you care Chorus - Cody - Living From Memories Living From Thoughts There Are Some Things In Live That Cannot Be Taught [This message has been edited by CwboyAtHeart (edited 05-14-2001).] |

Welcome to our side of the world!  Glad you joined us!!!!I think this has great potential, and would be a wonderful testament of faith and praise set to music. I however think some of the lines are a bit choppy, and have played with it a bit. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it, but this is what I came up with. We praise the greatness of our Lord With songs of praise, and strums of chord The Lord is with us all our days We thank Him with our songs of praise When you're drivin' me from evil Satan's in a big upheaval You guide me down the righteous road I learn I get what I have sowed Lord, the life I lives' to serve You You're the One stedfast and true You've given your life to save me You've shown me all that I can be Chorus When you're givin me direction Along the way you've made correction You get me far from Satan's way You always brighten up my day I know there's trials in our life I know I'll suffer pain and strife Lord, I know you'll always be there You've more than shown how much you care |

Welcome to this site. Nice to see such a song of thankfulness as you have written. i do believe WhtDove has made some valid points and hope you will re-work slightly and set this to music. It should make a great song! Betty Lou Hebert |
