Many are urged to seek Miracles
"Expect 'em daily," they're told,
As if they were really needed
Like they were needed of old.

Yes, such sounds so inviting
As we're drawn to the exciting to seek,
"What would it hurt, a miracle or two?
Yes that would be oh, so neat!"

But is that for us Heaven Counsel
Just where in God's Word is that said?
We're taught to seek His provisions
And pray for our "Daily Bread."

God's Natural Laws, He need not suspend
To accomplish the Blessings we're needing,
For such Miracles He's already done
His Scheme of Redemption completing.

Such as the Miracle of the Lord's Birth
Apart from man's fathering connection,
Followed latter, after a shameful death
By His glorious Resurrection!

What is it we need---a Miracle?
Or a Savior, through Whom Grace is given
That's sufficient for all of our needs,
And His Word to guide us to Heaven?

If our Present Provisions we could deplete
Then a Miracle might then be needed,
But for all He's already given-
Have we truly accepted and heeded?

Dare I ask for a Miracle
Almost as if to say,
"Your grace is no longer sufficient
I need something more sent my way!"

The All-Wise and Omnipotent
Provides so well it seems,
Without extra Intervention
That His Greater Power is seen.

I deny not that He's capable
Of a Miracle at any time,
But Thank Him for His Saving Grace
Which at all times can be mine.

No Better Place do I know
Than where Hearts knit as
one,
For in that grand
experience,
The Better ALL become.

God Bless us All!!!

David; This beautiful poem says so much, to me it is a gentle reminder to be always thankful for the Grace He showers me with and to never stop expecting His mysterious ways in the form of a miracle. We mistakingly think in terms of big miracles, and miss the wonders of the little ones...like the butterfly that landed on my foot yesterday and stayed for a while just to say hello! Love, Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

So true David, sometimes we become "selfish" in things like that.

Wonderful reminder to be grateful for what He's given us already.

Nice work, Dave.  You put this together quite gracefully.

Thank you very much for the sermon in poetic form. Yes, his grace alone is most magnificent.

Wonderfully written reminder David ~ One that I shall print out and read often, just to remember to stop and smell the roses.  Thanks for this one.  Bonnie

David,

I am more than satisfied with the desire and the ability to have God's will accomplished in my life and for this, His Grace toward me, I am very thankful.  Truly, God's Grace is sufficient.  Thank you for your poem today to help me, for one, to focus/re-focus my life on Him a little clearer.  Bob <><
