To the world I may seem as nothing
Not accounted as one of it's own,
But to God, I'm deemed important
Enough for His Son to atone.

The world may cruelly treat me
As if I were nothing but scum,
I choose to accept God's opinion
Lest to the dark world, I succomb.

About me, God had the first word
"I'll make him in my image, true,"
And of me, He'll have the last say
"Come my child, now that Judgment is through."

I'm sure that He cares much for me
For Blessings He gives every day,
And showed me Love's Greatest expression,
Sending Christ, my sins to pay!

He even has gone on record
To recognize those known to Him
By inclusion in that prized journal--
The Book of Life, through the Lamb.

Compared to Him, I AM nothing
And forever will be in His debt,
Yet He gives me my worth and value
May this, I never never forget!

I can't say that nobody loves me
Tho', sometime dejected, forlorn,
For God in His Love, is e'er faithful
By it may my heart be e'er warmed.

No Better Place do I know
Than where Hearts knit as
one,
For in that grand
experience,
The Better ALL become.

God Bless us All!!!

Dear David; Well this is one friend who appreciates your invaluable worth! You have been a good friend through good times and bad, through laughter and tears. I am ever grateful to our Lord that He sent you as a wonderful angel in my life! Love, Ellie

What HE says Goes!!!!  I like this concept....  Our self worth and purpose in life is not based on Eathly values but on what God says... and I so want to hear HIM say, "Well done!"

God Bless You, Bob <><

I would love to post this one on my website if you'd allow?
(I'm in the midst of redoing it all)

It's amazing how friendships blossom or wilt as we take a stand for Christ, and we can be certain those that wilt, weren't true friends to begin with and those that blossom are usually diehard, lasting ones.  Nice poem, David.  Thank you,

This really made me ponder a few things... I certainly hope that you value yourself more than you seem to imply that you do in this poem.
Sorry to sound pessimistic, but that's the impression I got.
Good work, still.
