From my childhood,
to this very day,
parents and husband,
have all betrayed me
and belittled me.

Thus never feeling worthy,
or ever being cherished.

I have sought Your Love
since my early years.

Yet, do I still settle
for less than Your All,
Your Will for me?

Teach my heart
to fully feel,
to fully know,
Your perfect Love.

Help me to expect
Your abundant Grace.

I want to know
and truly feel
a beloved child.

That I might ask
and recieve
that my cup runneth over.

So I come boldly
before Your Throne
as a beloved child,
asking You, my Holy Father,
that Your Perfect Will
overflow
in every area of my life.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Ooh Ellie, this touches my heart deep, and brings a tear to my eye.

It is amazing that through all this, you found the Lord, and you hold Him as dear as you do.

There's comfort in always knowing He will never betray us, never leave us, and Love us like No One else will.

He will lift you up, perform a good work in you, and these lines are so very special, as are the entire poem...

Dear Ellie, I don't know how to repsond to this as it is so differnet from my experience. My foilks were so loving and I was never betrayed. But you have found one that willl never betray you now. Bless you. Joyce

No one can fill the void... not parents, husband nor wife, not friends, nor any family member..... only Jesus. I suppose that you have an advantage over many in your knowing a void exists in your life. I also knew the void of family in my life, but after coming to Christ, He has made ways to fill the smaller voids in my life. I am assured that God will do the same for you as you are filled with Him to overflowing as you have written. Your faith in Him is such a blessing and testimony to me.
