Historical Clay Pots

Molded clay in its most natural form
mundane with hollow warped edged
frailty succumbly immersed in the kiln
innocently before influence of religion
with implications of a Buddhist priest
in realms of transcendental meditation
only unrefined textures of forged clay
with fingerprints intact still uncovered
preserved potter shell of fleshly grays
as oil seeped through blemished spots
ugly at first sight but representative of
its design created by Ancient of Days
for transportation of life giving waters
to sustain tribes of nomadic habitation
preserved for view thousands of years
in the grandeur of our heart's museum.

Isn't it amazing what God can do with a piece of clay?   Bob <><

"in the grandeur of our hearts museum" I love this line! Wonderful poem, Bob..Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

I find it amazing that your words outline a clay vessel. Totally in awe.
