I wrote this a few weeks ago, with lots of pain in my heart. It was a cry for help. Help that only the Lord could offer. I hope you enjoy this. My Heart's Desire Lord, the desire of my heart is to have a proper relationship with food. I long to see food not as an enemy or a tranquilizer, but as nourishment, your gift to enjoy. I want to stop worrying, about how much I weigh and how I look, so that I concentrate on who I am. I've stopped purging, but I still binge. Help me binge on your word. May I believe that only you can satisfy the hungers of my soul. Help me to tear down food as an idol in my life, so that I can hunger deeply for you. Deliver me from holding on to food so that I can hold firmly to you, for that is truly the desire of my heart. --Marie subconsciously, i think i can eat so much to make my stomach hurt, instead of my heart. I, too, will ask that you be filled with hunger for the Lord's word, which will overcome your food problem. You're wise to turn to Him in trust. Rae |

God bless you for your honesty about a problem that many have. God has the answers we know when we look to him. |

My heart goes out to you, and i so admire your humble honesty. God will surely hear and answer your prayer and i too will pray with you. Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

"whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will not be put to shame." God bless you and give you his daily bread as you ask. |

What an honest plea! With God all things are possible! It's hard to give it all over to Him, and for us not to keep hanging onto the problem, but we do have to remember, He can do so much better with our problems than we can. I understand it's hard to stop, but you CAN do it! You shall be in my prayers as well!! God bless you, He's beside you and He's helping you! |

Fading Away, It is God's good pleasure to give you the desires of your heart.... that is His word. I do appreciate your openess toward your eating condition. Not all of us can be this candid and I believe that God will honor that quality of honesty in you..... Food doesn't seem to be as bad as some of the habits that I have, but we'll just keep praying and believing in God together and accept each victory as they come our way. Amen. Bob <>< |
