It's cold and hard to see ahead
blind and deaf, I seek the light
my skin is soft, and falls apart
I swing my hands about, i search, i fight

faith
faith
faith

I can't see it.
love
love
love

is it there?

I draw my power from a wire
electric pulse that holds my eyes
an impulse keeps me in the future
a fleeting warmth comes not as a surprise

faith
faith
faith

I can't see it.
warmth
warmth
warmth

it's not there.
faith
faith
faith

I can't see it.
love
love
love

it's not fair...

I'm so alone.
I'm made of stone.
I stir and groan
so lonely...

I draw my future from my mind
the impulse shooting up my back
with hugs from God, I slightly smile
upon my torture wheel, my human rack

faith
faith
faith

I can't feel it.
God
God
God

can you hear?
faith
faith
faith

Do I need it?
love
love
love

Is it real?

the impulse reaps the grim rewards
as my pain continues still
I find the impulse true of meaning
my empty heart begins to fill

faith
faith
faith

you're so different...
God
God
God

there you are...
love
love
love

i can feel it...
warmth
warmth
warmth

not so far...

I see a light
cut through the night
it seems so right...
it's lovely

Perhaps it is best I mention this poem is not necessarily about Christianity, just for further reference.
Thank you for reading.

Allan,

You have a very unique way of writing that kept me reading and looking for the next lines.  Very artistic.... it's like you paint a physical picture with the placing of your words and then the imagery is also very abstract.  For me, I felt like I was on a table,
a massage table or a chiropractic table, and I was getting these wonderful feelings
shooting up my spine....  I know I'm strange.  Please give me a hug.   Bob <><

so surreal and hauntingly inspiring

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
