The Smell of Church Thank God, I came to church and a smell filled the air; For as I looked around, there were sinners everywhere: Go tell the destitute who hasn’t bathed for weeks! Go tell the prostitute whose sultry body reeks! Go tell the ranking ones and every soul you meet! ...and especially tell the one who sits there in that seat! For as you sit there waiting, the masses burn in hell and you aint having church unless your churches smell. -Robert E. Michaud Jr.- |

I love this. One said some churches have become the country clubs for the self righteous instead of workshops to turn sinners into saints. ![]() Rae |

oooooo, Bob...how incredibly wonderful! A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

True! There are multitudes of lonely lost souls needing to hear the word of God. We need to get back to preaching in the streets. When I was a little girl, there was a man that rode around our neighborhood with a loud speaker on top of his car, preaching the word of God. I wonder what would happen if someone did this now??? Many would laugh and scorn, but if only one hears and recieves, there would be a rejoicing in heaven. Deb |
