To the Rear, March!

Pause
Stop!
To the rear, march!!

Seek again
that first step
that step empowered
by new found love
by new found faith.
Drink the cup again;
eat the bread.
Recall the strength
from being fed.

Having rolled to the bottom
of the mountain
alighting in the valley
taking on the form of stone
Rigid, hard, sedentary
lying in the stream.
Awaiting a washing,
a cleansing, a quenching
in the flow
at valley’s bed.

Renewed, purified
empowered afresh;
rise again on new limbs
with feet
shod in sandals of readiness
then
one step at a time,
follow.

A nice one here. Life often calls us to retrace a steps or re-evalute our life- and we often veiw then as stepbacks when in truth they are major steps toward real progress. I appreciate your words.
