You hold, your child, in you arms, he feels protected.Your stroke his hair, kiss him in the forehead. Just like when he was a child. Now he clings to life. The one he knows, he has to give away. You hold your child, as he dies, without any victory, in silence with great dignity. You hear echoes:his flesh, our bread, his blood, our wine. You surrender him to the father with the promise of his return. As our only true hero, Jesus. You hold your child, you stroke his hair, you kiss him in the forehead. Just like when he was a child. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

I am so touched by this beautiful poem. I have a great love for Mary, she is to me the perfect mother we all need. Wonderful poem! A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Welcome Walker! Only one critique for you. Check your spelling in the beginning there. This is deeply touching! It's left open without mention of names which lets it be widely interpreted. Anyone in that position can relate, as well as those who haven't. Deeply touching! <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. I don't question YOUR existance - GOD |

walker, a sentimental portrayal of Mary; I can almost hear her saying... "I love you forever, I'll love you for always as long as your living my baby you'll be..." and, at the end of the story, the Son will be holding his own mother, expressing the very same words to her. Bob <>< |
