Thank You Lord

Thank you Lord
for the moon so bright
and for the stars at night.
Thank you Lord
for the plants and the trees
and the cool summer breeze.

Thank you Lord
for the rays of the sun
thanks for Dad and Mum.
Thank you Lord
for night and day
and everything else in every possible way.

Thank you Lord
for friends so true
and for helping me believe in you.
Thank you Lord
for showing me how to love
with special guidance from above.

Jos,
Welcome to this forum of kindred spirits which look above and acknowledge a Higher Power in their life.
This is a simple but meaningful poem, saturated with a wonderful gratitude in recognizing God as that author of every good and perfect gift. I think in a way, the simplicity of this piece reflects the true humility needed as we seek to honor and praise our wonderful God above.
Thank for posting it, I will be looking forward to your next, and succeeding poems,
David

No Better Place do I know
Than where Hearts knit as
one,
For in that grand
experience,
The Better ALL become.

God Bless us All!!!

Dear Jos; I love this poem! David said it all, but I must add that the gentle and simple child like faith you write of here is exactly what Jesus calls us to. You have written this poem beautifully! Love, Ellie

THANK YOU, LORD! We have to. Well Done.

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

jbaker,

There is so much in life to be thankful for... Like others, I like the simplicity of your poetry. You have expressed true Christian character in that your heart is eternally
thankful... and still, that will not be enough time. Welcome. Bob <><
