The Lord heals my heart
As the clouds begin to part
He warms me like the sun
Until the mending is done

His words set me free
Allowing me to be
Safe from all harm
Shunning Satan’s charms

I am sheltered from the storm
By His mysterious form
His light shows me the way
To a brand new day

Through Him I find peace
The sweetest purest release
My burden suddenly becomes light
No longer necessary to fight

He walks by my side
In Him I’ll always confide
Never needing anything more
Facing whatever is in store

I look to tomorrow
Freed from my sorrow
A rainbow hangs in the sky
As a final tear falls from my eye

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats

Faith, throughout your years
Jesus Christ has shed the tears
Peace, final reward.

What a warming poem! He has a way of mending our tears and hurt don't He? I like the ending with the final tear.

Melton in a nutshell that was a great response!

Lone Wolf,

rainbows have the same affect on me in that they remind me of His promises
and though just touching on God's love, for me rainbows bring a tear to my eye.

spectacular, Bob <><

Beautifully said...I am blessed to have His "peace beyond all understanding"!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
