Sitting there on my porch I watched and listened to a child With a hammer in hand Pounding on a rock I watched not giving it much thought But as to the racket The hammer became silent The child looked at me saying "Did you hear my rock sing?" "No" I asked, What was it singing? Then with a look of total disbelief That I did not know.. The answer "HOW GREAT THOU ART!" |

This reminds me of what it says in the bible about how the rocks will cry out if we don't praise the Lord. Your tender poem tells of the reason to praise him. If the rocks can sing so can we! Wonderful poem. Deb |

How wonderful of a story this one is. I can see the child hammering the rock and humming to the tune. What a beautiful write you have brought us here. |

Wonderful! ...and a child shall lead us.. This really touched my heart, thank you, my sweet friend. Love, Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

SongBird~ What a delightfully refreshing piece. Oh, the wisdom and faith of children. Lovely thoughts. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
