that girl that I see in the mirror
why wont she go away
she bugs me
so nice on the out side
so innocent it seems
but she is fake
a liar
a cheater
who does she think she is
pretendind all the time
that life does not effect her
that he problems are under control
why does she think it's okay
to walk in a fantasy
does she have any true friends
she would not betray
or is she as alone
as she feels
never letting the tears fall
for fear of rusting the mask
she wears so naturally
never looking upwards
to the One who holds her life
she thinks she is okay
with out love
but someday soon she will learn
that there is One who always
sees through the layers
and still loves what is underneath.

Your poem gives us reason to do some introspection-self-evaluation, as taught in II Corinthians 13:5. Galatians 6:7-8 also tells us the truth of the matter-God is not decieved, nor mocked! Let us not FOOL ourselves by playing the fool. Good Message!

You know this is very powerful. We fool no one but ourselves. And we do hurt, though we don't want to admit it. But not having anyone hurts. Though if it's because of our own doing, we have the power to change that.

But God does see, and He does still love what's underneath, that's so true. He don't like our actions, but unlike us, He's able to seperate between the two.
