Icy fingers of winter
have touched the earth.
Winters breath
has exhaled
her flakes upon
the ground.

Deep and cold,
frigid and solid,
does garden sleep
beneath
this winters kiss.

Spring,
an unseen
remembrance.

Faith,
invisible as Spring,
lives.

Dwell not our hearts,
our souls not dismay,
upon what eye
doth see.

For deep
in heart,
as the frozen earth
holds Spring,
with spiritual eyes,
we see the hope
of first flowering,
and know the Love
of His eternal
promise
of Grace that lives,
hidden,
within our souls.

Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart.

Ellie,
HE is faithful, his promises are sure, the seasons HE hath appointed and we can know assuredly of Springs return and of the enduring nature of HIS love. Beautiful poem.

In the seasons of hardship as pictured by the cold winter's invasion & blasts- are the trials of Faith-the holding on to hope- and the Blessings of faithfulness in our leaning & trusting in God to see us through. Your lovely poem here expresses it well!
