Look Closely

If there was no Jesus like His Holy Word said,
If there were no Angels who rejoiced overhead,

If there were no Wisemen who came from lands afar,
If there was no Mary and no glimmering star,

If there was no Christmas and just some sinners ball...
Then my Christian friends, we are the fools of all.

Look at gifts 'neath your tree like Wisemen's offerings,
Look at children at your door like Angel's carolings,

Look at shining lights like your glowing Savior's face,
Look at jolly Santa like Mary's birthing Grace,

Look at Christmas closely then perhaps you'll recall...
That my Christian friends, we are no fools at all.

God Bless You and Merry Christmas!

As much as we admire each other, it'd be a pretty sad world without Jesus to place our faith in and relate to.  We'd grow weary and disheartened very early in life and probably stay that way...like Scrooge.    Great piece to provoke our appreciation of the real reason to celebrate.  Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

What we need to do
is see Christmas again
as the child in the manger

Thank you, Robert...
