We bought pointsettias
but couldn't
bring them in the
house,
because we remembered
they could poison
the cats!

We put up the dcorations
but
when we set up the nativity,
one wiseman, one cow,
two sheep, and Joseph
are missing.
Worst of all...
so is baby Jesus!

All true and unsettling..

But then I realized
the message here
for this family
of mine.

The little plaster
baby Jesus is nowhere
to be found...
because
His message is clearly
that...
All we need to know is,
the REAL Baby Jesus
is found
in our hearts!

Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart.

Hey, what a great message, all to often we forget to see what is there in heart instead of in our eyes, We often look at what is missing and in doing so, we miss what we really should be seeing. I hope you got that point I was trying to make because I am not so sure I got it
My point is, we spend so much time grieving over what we do not have, instead of relishing what we do have, thank you very much I really needed that reminder tonight.God bless.

First, let me reply that your message here is very clear and profound before I relate my strange yet, perhaps, intriguing idea that I'd like to share with you. Now, utilizing your missing baby Jesus manger scene, you could replace the Christ child with one of your remaining sheep and tell everyone that the sheep in the manger represents the Lamb of God.... Just an idea. God Bless You,  Bob <><

Amen, ellie, amen!   Wonderful message and reminder so worthy to us all, keep the real message of Christmas and Jesus in our hearts, not upon the tree or shelf. Wonderful and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Well you no  my manger has no Joseph  no wise men  and Mary is missing half her face.  But it is the manger we had growing up and i would never change a thing . It saw all my childhood Christmas's and now it will see  my childrens.Christmas really is in your heart not under your tree. Merry Christmas

Ellie,
Christmas is about Jesus, very alive and very present, living in our hearts. Beautiful poem and reminder of his Love for us.

And when He's not present in our lives, thing become a tangled mess.

A timeless message Ellie, I just looked at it in a different way. But what is so true, is that we keep him in our hearts, for that's what truly matters!

Oh Ellie,
another masterpiece made of a mess-You sure know how to look at things, and I appreciate your great perception and wisdom, which can see the light even when things seem a little dim.   Thanks for another good poem,   David

Seems since 9-11, more people have found Jesus, and I feel quite confident there are people out there who've found Him when visiting this sight where His love abounds through poets like you.  May you be richly blessed.  Merry Christmas!
