God's Angels

(A Christmas Sonnet)

Ascending your perch among stars and moon
To dance with a charismatic splendor,
Your whimsical spins a musical tune
For imaginations of child's render
In colorful wrap, each present glitters
Bright festive beneath your tree so adorned...
Amazed, wide eyes search red stockinged critters
Strung from fireplace mantel--  Youth's reborn!
Your grandeur brightens their heavenly skies
By silvery halo and wings of gold
They look with faith at your angelic guise
And believe, through you, their dreams to behold
On Christmas day, may all God's angels find
Peace on Earth and good will toward mankind.
