[I take as a Scriptural Reference, Ephesians 6:10-20] O Shield of Faith, I take thee With the Armor that God has supplied, For without Faith, I can't please Him Or later be by Jesus side. For as a Christian, you've called me A Soldier of His to be, For now there rages a great battle All around, within me. It isn't a physical skirmish Requiring the weapons of men, But spiritual war is araging With Spiritual armor, I taken to stand! And thus I take this Shield of Faith Thus praying that You will supply, Protection from the devil's attacks For from him fiery darts doth fly. Thank You, O LORD, for the gift of Faith You've given me through Your Word, And for the Grand Calling and Challenge To be a Soldier of Truth, for my LORD. To put together words & rhyme--and touch a life--is so sublime! Thank God for such precious contact! (D.L.White) |

 So true, we do need to put on the full armor of God including the shield of faith... Just a note, whenever our armor (faith) gets week, remember we are in an army and we are not in this battle alone, but we are in this together to strengthen each other in the faith.
