Our Thanksgiving Day
Food, family and dear friends
We celebrate Life
Being blest so bountifully
We joyfully give our thanks

I love the joyful part, and so does God!

Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart.

Nice.
What are the guidelines for a Tanka? I was taught it once, but I've forgotten
I see that it is another syllable formatted poem. 5-7-5-7-5? Am interested in expanding my poetic borders.

With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free..

Hi Dennis,
There is nothing more becoming than a good heart giving thanks for the richness & fullness of our bounty from God.  Very nice tanka, Dennis and enjoyed.
