I'm thankful when there's blue skies
And for rainy days too
I'm thankful that even
On my worst of days
Your son shines in my heart anew

Even though my cup may seems empty
And I've had my share of trials
You tasted of the cup of sorrow
You followed your Lord's command
You walked there before me
In the shadow of death
You hung upon that hill

Each day you spread a beautiful table
Before me, befitting a queen
And I feast my eyes on your blessings
And all the many things that are unseen
Some of them can't be measured
Or touched with human hands
But can only be felt
In the soul of man

When I take the time to think
About all the things that you have done
My little cup of thankfulness
Is soon overflowing with joy
And peace and love
For its such a honor to have a friend
That watches over me like you do
Whether I am in the shadow or the sunlight
Your eyes never sleep
You truly are my Shepard
And I am but a Sheep

Lord, I need to stay
Right near your feet.

Septsong, this befits many moments...a Sunday morning, Thanksgiving, every day...

well done...

Septsong; I will be with you at His feet, for I know I am nothing without Him. Beautiful poem, my friend. Love, Ellie

Amen! A wonderful prayer!
It's at his feet, when we humbly bow before him, that he blesses.

This has really touched me tonight...as well as opened my eyes, and brought me hope, as I struggle through yet another trial.

Absolutely heart provoking!   Thanks!
We do have much to be thankful for.
