Tie A Knot In The Prayer Rope
~*Marge Tindal*~

The strength that comes from within
when things are really rough
The will to decide just what to do
when things are oh, so tough

Where does the survivor get his strength ?
The courage to do what's best ?
It seems to me, it comes from God
after we've passed the test

When you're down and out
and hanging on the ropes
Tie a knot in the prayer rope
and throw it to God
with all your prayerful hopes

He will not let you down
On Him you can rely
While others around you are struggling
God will lift you high

Tell others what God does for you
Praise His very name
If they should turn and ask of Him
For them, He will do the same

Marge~ I will be sure and hold on to a rope with a very secure knot. One that I can really grip and not lose my hold.
That special rope is the life line to Jesus.
Wonderful poem you have written.
Hugs, Deb

Ahhh Marge ~ How many times I have grabbed onto that old rope.... It's just full of knots!  What a wonderful way to offer hope.  I hope many will read and give it a toss.  Bonnie

DragonPoe~
Thanks for finding the inspiration.

Vicky~
Hey ... I've been tying those knots for years -
Now I've finally got the toss right !
And He's pulling me up.

Bonnie~
Oh yes ... to share that toss with others
is surely our heart's desire.
He is waiting.

It's ironic that often those suffering the most are the greatest inspiration to others.  You penned this so well.  Seems each time I say, "Wow, everything in my neck of the woods is going just great," everything begins to unravel, so I needed this.  Thank you.

Marge,

This was wonderful my friend.  He is always there . . . all we have to do is ask . . .
tying my knot

SandGrain~
I think that when things start to unravel -
it is the best time to tie that knot -
and don't just hang there -
throw it to Him - He's always there !
Thank you for the depth of your reply.

LoneWolf~
Very true, dear one.
Earned my Girl Scout Badge in knot tying for sure !
Love and *hugs*

Oh Marge, You've done it now!!! I'm talking wonderful here and it put a zip in my step.....although, have to admit lately I'm been tying lots of knots and each time He just says hang on!  Aren't we blessed with a God who loves us all so much to keep throwing us that rope. Bless you for this one.

Compassion~
Sometimes He asks us to hang on so that we
might learn patience.
I've been learning a LOT of patience ! LOL !

Yes, He is a blessing to us ...
and that rope is always one prayer-knot away !
Bless you for your reply.
