Friend Of A Wounded Heart

Oh Lord You are my faithful friend.
Always willing to listen,
Forever ready my heart to mend.
In You there is no darkness,
Only sweet and holy light,
Glowing like the sun,
Precious, pure and bright.
In your arms is where I rest,
When pain becomes to great.
Into Your eyes I stare,
A peaceful place to meditate.
But You are my faithful friend,
And Lord I know it's on You,
That I can always lean.
