Walking alone on a well-worn path, In the morning's quiet hour, Sunlight filtered through frosted leaves, And I could feel Your awesome power. In a moment You were next to me, I was startled, but felt no alarm, As Your tender voice said "It's Me," And You gently took my arm. As we strolled through meadows together, You pointed out trees all ablaze, Nearing the edge of an old plowed field, You showed me the deer as they grazed. In the distance, glorious mountains, At their base, a tranquil lake, Standing, white robed, with Your arms spread wide, You said "Give me your burdens to take." With whispers of subtle music, I was embraced by feathery wings, The chill of the day had left me, As Your angels started to sing. Suddenly, there in that meadow, Golden leaves with tinges of red, Started floating down around us, Forming a halo around Your dear head. And there You were standing, majestic, Surrounded by autumn's blue skies, Your perfect light enveloped me, Your love clearly shown in Your eyes. With Your gentle arm on my shoulder, We turned to walk away, And I knew I'd always remember, The beauty of this Autumn day. |

 I always enjoy reading your poems about God and nature... I really do enjoy these nature walks.
