The Dignity of Labor Some don't appreciate, Who simply want a hand-out To be placed on their plate. "If a man will not work Neither let him eat," 'Tis the God-given system We should not try to beat. Thus Mankind, blessed by stature In this present sphere, Can gain the self-respect By honest labor here. Sometimes work is a hassle With issues unresloved, Don't let that spoil your honor Do your best, be involved! In the Judeo-Christian ethic Which shows us our work need, Let us find our rightful place As standards Divine, we heed. Thank you God, for the strength For knowledge and ability ,too, To let us have a part to play And in that, be like You. "Give us now, our daily bread" A prayer which we should pray, Is also one we help fulfill Using strength to work today. WOW- another day of life-and here among friends! Ain't God Grand! |

David, This is marvelous! It flowed beautifully and written very well. Great message as we look forward to a day off celebrating "labor day". Flawless! Marcy |

How true! I think I forget sometimes that many people have fallen victim to their own demise as far as poverty is concerned. Thanks for this reminder. Bless all who will have the joy of being off tomorrow. Though I'm not complaining, I will be at work. Janie |
