sitting here
I can only marvel at the
creations of thy hand
painted in hues that could
never be created by man

the wind
blowing soft and cool
whispers through the trees
listening, I hear thy voice
"see what I have created for thee?"

thy sun
casts its last shadows long
and, as I rise to leave
a rabbit appears at my feet
I see now Lord, I see. . .

Note:  The W. J. Beal Botanical Garden at Michigan State University, where this was written, is the oldest continuously operated botanical garden in the country.

It is not only a place to be admired, but a place that is used as an outdoor laboratory for the study of the plants contained there. . . for more info, and to see a picture of the Garden, go here: http://www.msu.edu/dig/msumap/bealgar.html

Sven~
Wow !
It's certainly easy to see how one would
be inspired to beautiful thoughts in that
lovely place.

Thank you for sharing.

Sven; this is so lovely and beautifully written. So inspiring! Ellie

Wow Sven how tenderly beautiful. Isn't our Lord the most incredible artist? Truly lovely poem my friend.

Wow Sven!  A classic penned by you.  I, too believe that God is the best artist ever known.  This is beautiful.  If ever I do visit Michigan I will definately have to visit the Botanical Garden!

Take care,

Great!
Sven- we may not all have lovely gardens of our own, like Ellie and Bonnie and others, but there are many places to which we can resort or retreat, even as our Lord did- which can almost be like visiting the Garden of Eden and be inspiried.  It looks like you found one of those places!  David

WOW- another day of life-and here among friends!

As you know, man is very creative... Your poetry as an example.  But even if man was to clone a rabbit, it wouldn't be there when we needed it.  God has a way of making His presence known at the very moment we need Him the most.  A lovely poem of God's inner beauty.  God Bless You,  Bob <><

Sven,

The gardens are a very special place.  Just love it there.  I am glad you were inspired on your trip there.  Wonderful writing.

Man may use this for the study of plants, but you definitely find an honored use of it.  Nice work.

We really don't see the true beauty unless we stop and look at it...a really interesting message Sven. This is some really fine work.
