I am sunken in a deep, dark abyss.
At the bottom, if there is one,
there is a place where I can stand firmly
for the first time in my life.

He has gone on before me.
I stood where He stood.
The blood was shed a drop at a time.
So, firmly, I'll stand.

I'll stand until my life is over,
I'll stand until the days are gone.
I'll stand until the sun turns black,
...I'll stand until He says, "Sit."
at the bottom of this deep, dark abyss.

The darkness fled,
my Savior bled.
I'll stand, I'll sit, I'll stay.
Moreover...
I'll obey.

I run, I fall. I walk, I sometimes crawl. I give, I take. I bend and yet somehow I break

I see a metaphor in this that we are dogs and He our master. How true and what a reminder showing us how humble we should really be!

Reaching the bottom means that we can finally stand, but even then it is best to obey. Thank you for sharing and lets both try our best to stand as Christians... God Bless You, Bob <><

Not only reaching that bottom, but hitting bottom. Once that happens, there's no other way to go but up!

Try as we might to obey, we all fail. We can only thank Him for his Grace! For His forgiveness!

I really like how this is open to so much interpretation
